Flyte Reaction

2015 – UP001

During the ’80s psych revival, Cambridge guitarist Mick Crossley stood out, earning praise from cult zines like Bucketful of Brains. As Flyte Reaction, he debuted in 1991 on Bevis Frond’s Woronzow label with Songs in a Circle, followed by several acclaimed releases. After 2001’s Sensilia, the project went quiet — until now.

Crossley never stopped exploring sixties-inspired sonic landscapes. His signature Stratocaster added magic to the late-career resurgence of Paul Roland, further cementing his underground legacy.

Flyte Reaction returns with what may be Crossley’s finest work yet: a richly melodic, deeply psychedelic album echoing Syd Barrett, XTC, Revolver-era Beatles, and the spirit of Daevid Allen.
