Hymns From The Harbour

Max Marchini

2021 – DCE001

Best known as the producer and driving force behind Dark Companion Records, Max Marchini now presents his first solo album. Originally conceived as a private gift to close friends for Dark Companion’s 5th anniversary, the label eventually convinced him to release it in a strictly limited edition, aimed at a niche circle of discerning listeners.

The album is a loosely connected collection of musical sketches, sonic explorations, and ideas recorded over more than a decade — often late at night, at home. It reflects the many facets of Max’s musical identity, drawing on influences ranging from classical to folk, Indian music to the electronic avant-garde of the Berlin School — yet all reimagined in a uniquely personal style.
