Arcaico Armonico
Lino Capra Vacccina

2015 – DC004/DCLP001
Lino and his percussion craft a cosmic bridge of unprecedented creativity, connecting diverse musical inspirations. Following his experience with Aktuala — the groundbreaking Italian band that released three extraordinary albums in the early 1970s, where Lino, Walter Maioli, and their companions wove mystical astral textures from timeless musical threads — he released the seminal album Antico Adagio in 1978.
With Arcaico Armonico, Lino continues on the noble path traced by that historic work: compositions, intuitions, and emotions matured over the years, now ready to be shared with an ever-wider audience. Once again, his percussion — gongs, tablas, bells, vibraphone, cymbals, plates… — creates a fully acoustic soundscape, delicately shaped with elegant delays. Featured on the album are three exceptional collaborators: Paolo Tofani, legendary guitarist and composer from Area, on Mandhura, Camillo Mozzoni on oboe, oboe d’amore, and English horn, and his long-time friend Juri Camisasca on vocals.
Far from any New Age leanings, Lino Capra Vaccina’s ever-evolving music unveils hidden pages of ancient, shared memory.
